Silent Spoken Words
Let me inquire your attention. I, the poet, am the artist, and the poem is the masterpiece. You as the reader, however, have the most important task. Your job of criticizing, your job to give your thoughts on the subject matter, even your job to decide if the masterpiece is worth looking into or not. You have the most crucial task. It is my honor to leave it in your hands.
Micah Jackson
Hello! My name is Micah Jackson. I am also the author known as Shaun Jackson, M. I’ve been writing for more than a decade now, but what really inspired me to become the author I am today was reading books I found both entertaining and perplexing. I read multiple books that made me feel lost in a completely different world every time I read them. I really wanted to do the same and have people be lost in a creation of my own. Not only that, but I also wanted to write a very expansive writer verse. One that hosts a plethora of unique worlds, characters, and events that affect the very future of their existence and survival. I wanted to take both world building and lore writing to the next level. While it is my dream to become a best-selling author, and my ambition to spread a message of truth far and wide, the very enjoyment of writing is what led me to pursue a degree in Journalism at Tennessee Tech University. I want writing to not only be my life but my job as well. And what better way to do so than becoming a journalist? Here on my website: you will find all of my official works and projects whether they be books, stories, poetry, articles, blog posts, essays & academic papers, scripts, and more.

Guess What?
Evil Oppression
The common oppression of the world we were born,
Ripping each other limb by limb, clawing for the top,
Harming those in their way and killing them off,
All of this hatred, all of this judgement needs to stop...
Excerpt from Micah's first book 'Sage's Forest, Volume 1'.
BOOK INSIGHT
I started writing this collection of poetry at the age of 13 because I saw an ugly side to the world that I really didn’t like seeing. However, I also saw an ugly side to myself that I didn’t like seeing. I came to the realization that I needed to process the things I was seeing and hearing and observing. I figured the best outlet to do so was through expressing myself in the form of poetry. I had most recently learned how to write poetry only a year prior. Over time I would build on these poems until I had written enough under the same subject matter to put it all together under a single title. That is the book you see today: Sage’s Forest, Volume 1. Poetry I wrote over the course of three to five years. The perspective may be bleak at times, however, I intended this work to be thought provoking first and foremost. I had thoughts about the world and I’m certain so do you.
SAGE'S FOREST ~ VOLUME 1
BOOK SYNOPSIS
This book is made from a wide collection of poetry written by a curious youth, hoping to make sense of what was going on in the world around him. He’s found peace in a place outside of this broken system within a forest. A place he can escape to, finding refuge in the beauty that surrounds him and comfort in the words he shares by the pen. Join him in navigating behind the treeline, watching the world he left behind from afar. Come to an understanding as to why Sage found a home forever in the Forest.
The Next Book
Be looking out for the second volume to Sage’s Forest! Where the poems will be lighter, the words more peaceful, and a perspective that finds where grass is greener on the other side. You’ve seen the world outside the treeline for what it is, now look at Sage’s world deep within his Forest.

FEATURED POEM
A screen displays for all the world to see,
To touch, to interact, to feel a presence,
In a virtual space which doesn't exist.
Though we are remissed from living,
From living as humans that can care for the world.
The spirit once swimming inside us,
Slowly leaking out as we take to the metallic mind.
And I find the draining touch of the cyberspace,
Energy once flowing in me now gone away,
Lost of human embrace, replaced by a robotic sway.
Immune to emotions? No, just belligerent.
A generation once held in their innocence,
Until they were exposed to a fouler world
And now those children have been taken away.
Spirited away by the gunk that resides in the "human experience",
Having forgotten the first precedence set
To keep all things in order and together and in a state of stability.
The Touch of Tech, to destroy one's ability to fall in love again
With the Earth that began with a perfect presence.
A new space now presents itself,
To mark what and where we destroyed
What was once beautiful beyond description
